80028f0a install error? help?!

I just sold my ps3 to a friend. He doesn't have an hdmi tv so I had to change the settings for av cables.(idk if that matters but I didn't have any problems before this.) Now when he tries to start any homebrew it just goes to a black screen. I tried reinstalling and it worked once. then it just kept going to the black screen again. So I tried reinstalling again and now it says something like "install failed error code 80028f0a" It doesn't have any problems with movies, music, or disc games. I have no idea what happened.
Does anyone know that error code?(BTW google doesn't know that error code either :/)

nobody knows anything about that code?!?!
I think it might be a hard drive failure, I just dont understand why the movies, music, playing/installing games and saving games all work if the hdd is bad.
I am going to try some of the options in the recovery menu if that works, but I cant even try until next week. if anybody knows anything that might help just let me know.
