i was wondering if anyone out there knew which chip contains the drive key
as im looking to desolder it and resolder it to exact same board ??

come on ppl out there must know

its in the eeprom
int GetRandomNumber()
{
return 4; //choose by fair dice roll.
//guaranteed to be random.
}
where is the eeprom , which chip is that ?

sorry but....why bother if you have a working logic board?
you are now able to 'remarry' the new logic board to the system.
but from the few minutes i spent looking over a logic board, i would assume you need to change the spansion flash chip (the smaller bga)
-d
cant remarry as the console is on 3.60 , wish i could , lol
by any chance does anyone have a pic of this chip ?

heres a photo...not sure what revision that board is, but you get the idea
I tried this once. I've since blocked the memory from my brain![]()
this is the exact board
the other 2 boards i know where the bga chip is on there but this board does not have any of that
im a bit stumped , its a BMD-011 , A , 1-877-014-11

from the bad picture it looks like the mx chip.
and i do know mx make some flash chips for the 360 too.
