3.55 CFW to 4.21 CFW how?

hi there i have been reading that there is a CFW 4.21

does any one know any good tut for upgrading from a 3.55 CFW to a 4.21

i installed my CFW 3.55 my self and that was not to hard is the now cfw as easy to do

and i have seen that the new multiman and that have to be resigned to work on 4.21 what does that mean ?

and is there any risk of bricking my ps3 ?

and what about the games on the HDD will they all still work and same with the games on my external HDD

i dont play online games its only for off line games . and with this .4.21 i can play the new games ?

any help with this would be great thank you

- Same procedure as installing any other firmware, except if you have a console that has been downgraded.

-The new version of multiman works on 4.21, it means it has been re-encrypted to work on the 4.21 firmware.

You have an ideal console for the new 4.21 CFW then. There have been very few FAT PS3s reported as being bricked. But please, do some reading and understand the risk if you decide to install it.

The new version of multiman will be done for you. Read up here to find out about what encryption means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encryption

Yeah, you don't really need to read that wiki page about encryption, but it does help to at least know the lingo.

I can sum up how to install custom firmware. It's really simple as long as your are on firmware 3.55 or below:

1) Put jailbreak pup file on a usb drive in the folder /PS3/UPDATE/UPDAT.PUP (rename the pup if you have to)
2) Go to Settings->System Update->Update via Storage Media
3) Wait for installation to complete
4) Done.

You don't need to uninstall anything, and you have the correct file, but I would wait on installing it.

THERE HAVE BEEN MANY REPORTS OF BRICKS CAUSED BY THIS FIRMWARE. - Sorry to have to all-cap that, but I really don't want to see you brick your system.

If you still plan on installing, at the very least:
Double check that the MD5 hash of the pup you have matches what it should be (418b6d659ba7201b04247618929e73ff).
Install official firmware 3.55 first, then update to the 4.21 CFW.
Put your PS3 in QA mode. This somehow helps prevent bricks.

If I were you I would stay on 3.55 game patches will STILL be supported for 3.55 CFW (Never Understood Why People Want To Upgrade Anyway)
