I had the trophy problem and I fixed it by deleting trophy data for the effected games, the error happened once more for each game but the second time it worked fine. I dont care about trophies though so this method might not be for you. If you want to try it just delete one games trophy data and see if that one works

I was about to install Rebug 3.55.2 with Other OS support. Does anyone know if the trophy error occors with that one as well? And if so, does anyone know how to fix it without deleting trophy data? I play a lot of RPGs and some of the trophies take days or weeks to complete. I don't really need them, but don't want to lose them at the same time

the trophy error is caused by an OtherOS++ patch

So, it's either a choice between Other OS and Trophies? I've been watching your posts and you seem to know what you're talking about. You haven't heard of a fix?

grab REBUG CFW 3.55.2 & the PS3MFW task from rebug.me then build your own FW pup excluding the " Allow access to all SS services (Needed for ps3dm-utils)" option in lv1 Hypervisory

Or you could save yourself hassle and install 3.55.1 instead which does not have any trophy bug.

he asked for REBUG w/ OtherOS++ & that's what this fix is for

The plus with using REBUG is ulocking alls trophies as you want also you're able to delete them

Thanks bitsbubba. I've had PS3MFW builder on my laptop for a long time. This just gives me an excuse to give it a test drive. It doesn't seem too difficult. I hate to be a pain in the ass, but I've seen conflicting reports about how to install OtherOS. I'm relatively new to Linux and have made a 4 Gig bootable flash drive that works from the boot menu of PCs. I have heard that you have to repartition your internal drive so Linux will work correctly (I know you have to on PCs). The thing is, I don't want to repartition either my internal or external drive because I have total 2 terabytes of stuff on there and both drives are near capacity. Would it work from the 4 Gig flashdrive I have, or is this just something I have to set aside until I get a new 3 Terabyte external and take the content off of my internal so I can partition the drive correctly. Or can I repartition my internal drive with, let's say 50 gigs free (out of 1 Terabyte)? Also, I've seen that you can just install Linux to a memory area instead of a hard drive area, basically making a virtual drive. I didn't think the PS3 had enough RAM for that. I really do appreciate the help

not really the one to ask as I'm not going to install OtherOS++ until I fix my "Wanky" brick and use that PS3, but I believe no matter what OtherOS++ reformats the internal (I could be wrong)
