120gb Slim Video Problems

Hi there guys. Haven't posted in a while but I am here looking for some advice. I have a ps3 slim, its the 120gb version. The system has been working fine lately but in the last week something odd has happened. At first I could not get any video or audio, but after doing a system reset I managed to get 480p over hdmi. I could not go over 480p and if I tried 720p the screen would flicker, there would be little red dot artifacts over the screen as well. So I did a GPU reflow only, and the system was able to output 720p and 1080i, no 1080p. Now its doing the same flicker, goes black for a second then it works, there is still little artifact dots. So I'm wondering, should I have done a CPU reflow as well? Thats my only lead right now into the problem. Has anyone encountered such issue?

Do you have the hdmi cable going through a switcher or straight to the tv?

No it is hooked up straight to the tv. I also had to tighten up the hdmi port, it was loose before. I've read that artifacts and video issues are usually a sign on a future ylod. So I'm not sure if I should go ahead and do a cpu reflow. I've also thought maybe I should try to resolder the hdmi port, but that'll be a last resort thing. Any ideas?
