With all of the breakthroughs that have happened in the past 48 hours, I have decided I need to swap out the 60gb HDD on my original ps3. How do I go about swapping it out, backing it up, and which type of harddrive do I need?

You'll need a 2.5" SATA disk drive (internal) or this will not work.

    1. Switch off and unplug PS3 system
    2. Open the cover at the bottom and unscrew the blue screw with a Phillips screwdriver
    3. Move the latch to the right, slide the holder to the right and remove from the PS3
    4. Unscrew the 4 silver screws. You might need a smaller screwdriver for this. Be careful not to damage the screws
    5. Slot out the old disk and replace it with the new one.
    6. Reverse the above process and enjoy your new realm of space to play in
I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.
