I've been following this thread since the beginning, and I can't wait to see the first release in full-force!
that's definitely going to be a very nice christmas present for all of us

will there be a 1080p support? (or, if that's not possible, 1080i like in gran turismo 4)
1080i with a nice graphic filter would look really good!
i don't want to have that in the first release, and i don't even know if that's possible, but as far as i know (not that far hehe) graphic filters are not a problem, the big problem is the emulation itself
Seeing as Rag's other Emu, FCEU, already has it, and this is built on a newer devkit constructed solely for this emu, I don't see why SNES9X4PS2 won't support interlacing (1080i) mode.

Also, This thread is really inactive! There should at least be SOME discussion!
Also 2, wonder where Rag is in the project now, been EIGHT DAYS since he posted!
I'd venture that at this stage, there's not a whole lot to discuss outside of what we hope is in the emulator and things of that nature. I've pretty much had all of my questions answered during the last few months of discussions.

In regards to ragnarok, my guess is that he's just been busy with life, which is usually the case. I'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later. I was hopeful that things would have progressed more than they have at this point, but obviously that hasn't happened. I've made peace with the seemingly increasing likelihood of not getting to try his emulator before I go, so in the end I just want him to release the absolute best emulator possible. No matter how long it takes. Even if I don't get to see it.
tl;dr He'll be back. He'll get it done. He's come too far not to do so now.

Yep, a bit busy, . The day after I posted, the donut I had on the van blew out, so I had to arrange getting a new tire a bit earlier than I'd wanted and make arrangements for rides. That's all sorted, now, .
I've got the interface settings updated to use the new cfg code I designed for Snes9x. The gui is booting with the new init code, and is now compatible with the new video code. The browser is most of the way done. I'm just implementing some things like saving browsing history, and selections, and things like that. I still see some things that need simplifying, but they're rather small.
After that, it's all the menus. I'll probably just make a preview release without the in-game menus. It'll take a bit of time to get the menus all done. I've got the settings configured right now for the best possible experience for the average game.
I'm not sure how soon until it's ready, as I'm still organizing the dependencies, too. My guesstimates always fall way too short, since I tend to think things are simpler than they really are.
hells yeah, a preview release would be GREAT. especially for me that still havent jailbroken my ps3 and put more hours on my ps2
Always good to hear from you, our homebrew lord!

Now with the preview release there's still going to be a basic GUI to load SNES ROMs, right? like FCEU PS2 has?
Also, I must ask, will this emu support interlacing (component cables pseudo-HD) like FCEU PS2 does?
Thanks for existing man, you're keeping the PS2 alive.
