Hi Ragnarok..! I'm glad to see you around again.

I don't know whats matter to achieve a reasonably good point to start on, the old one snes9x code, the new one.. all our hope is in your hands.
Please, please.. keep in mind to focus on this goal: have a full speed ' Yoshi's island ' emulation! We know you can do the big quality leap we are waiting for.
Happy 'late' birthday to your brother as well by my side. You are such a cool guy.

    Have fun in this summer!

Snes9x should be more stable, theoretically, and more games should run, but I'm not sure which games. Version 1.52 does add compatibility. There's still a lot of work to be done about that, heh. As for where to get them, I'll probably upload the repositories and binaries to google code. I haven't been able to upload to my old site, :/.
    ok cool

and yes a belated b-day to your bro

ragnarok2040, I heard much talk about the Playstation 2 does not have enough hardware to run the emulator Super Nintendo, what do you think about this? Today in the morning I put my CD SNES STATION, and put the Super Mario World 2 Yoshi Island, one of the game really fought, but I believe it was for lack of progress of the project because it could be improved. I made a DVD emulator FCEUltra created by you, I downloaded the site of the bootsector, emulation is very well done, and I believe you are the new perfected, will be even better.

From what I see you are also increasingly looking to the better functioning of Snes9x, which is what we expect to be able to kill miss this island that marked both the season of many people.

I am here waiting with anciedade this release, both the Snes9x, as the new version of its FCEultra, full sets of my Snes and Nes are kept waiting for the big moment.

    Hugs and success!

The PS2 should be powerful enough to run most games pretty well. DSP-1, I think, is very similar to the PS2's VU's where most of the matrix/vector instructions can be almost directly emulated using VU macro instructions. Color lookups for the framebuffer can be done on-the-fly using the GS's texture capabilities, too. I can also offload some processing to the IOP, but the circumstances have to be just right...

I have notes I took from reading the source for possible things to do to optimize it. I also expect it to be pretty crashprone, in the beginning. The new version will have a built-in exception handler, so instead of freezing, it crashes to a helpful info screen, which should help users to report bugs and fix it up a bit. From there, it reboots the emulator to the main menu, so you can exit or do something else, or try again.

    Back to work, .

This is very good, I spent the weekend playing with my wife the Super Mario All Stars on the SNES STATION, the only problem encountered was the flaws in the sound. I took and saw the other games like Yoshi Island, Stax Fox, Mario Kart, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, those with locking problem. Games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time, were with the sound problem. But it has to spend a few hours of fun with my wife.

I deeply believe in your project, and I see their commitment and make an emulator with an awesome run. And I'm happy because our PS2 is already abandoned by the game companies, leaving in such large projects similar to yours.

I'm anxious to burn a DVD with my fullset SNES and its emulator.

    Good luck with the project.

Wow. Much has happened since I've been here last... I've gotta check in more often.

Ragnarok, your tenacity and stick-to-it on this project is admirable. Only a few others among us would have the patience for such fussy "trial-and-error" tweaking. I know I couldn't do it myself, and therefore, I tip my hat to you, sir. Many thanks for all your hard work!

I look forward to your next release, whenever that may be. Take all the time you need, man... good work can't be rushed.

I'm not sure if those games will work, the first release will essentially be a test release to see what's working or not. It should be more compatible as a lot of the functionality has been implemented... I'm getting pretty close to release, however. Maybe a few days of coding and hacking things together, when I can find the time, heh.

The list code was pretty easy to do, as it was pretty separate from the browser already. The browser needs some updating for multiple mass storage devices, and the controls have changed a bit so that needs updating. After that, it's pretty much fixing any apparent logic errors/bugs to make the code stable, committing to svn, and uploading to google.

Sorry it's taking so long, though, :/. My brother is a hardcore WoW addict, and when he starts raiding, he'll easily spend 12 hours or more for multiple days at a stretch on the computer I need to use to test code/make changes/etc. A few days of coding turns into weeks when he's like that. I've tried to work around his schedule but it's pretty impossible as he refuses to do anything once he sits down. It especially sucks around holidays, like July 4th, which seems to reinvigorate his interest in the game. I get pretty drained from handling his chores in addition to mine so I end up doing less than I want.

Im just glad your taking your time on this program with all the coding and such. I wish I could donate something so you could get a pc of your own so you could work on this. I know this is off topic but do you think it would be easyer to program a gba emulator then a n64 emulator? I really wanna learn how to code/program for the ps2 but I don't know where to look.
