I assume you're trying to load roms that are differents from your region's TV region (ntsc roms on pal tv or vice versa). You can force snes station to load pal roms in ntsc mode or ntsc roms in pal mode, just press Traingle after launching snes station, and set "display mode" (auto means that snes station will set your display mode according to the rom region). Some roms wont play thought.
As for snes emulation, snes station is the best option on ps2.

the rom is NTSC as is my tv, so i dont know why even setting ntsc setting it goes into an unsupported display mode

That's weird. Can you load this particular rom with a snes emulator on PC?
Maybe try to get the rom from another source.

You're using component cable, am I right? Switching to composite cable or using doctorxyz's GSM mode selector will both fix your problem.

Some tvs do not support resolutions lower than 480i with component cables, that's why your tv says unsupported display mode. GSM is a nice stand alone app and you can use it to force your ps2 to always display in 480i (or up) with problematic games and apps which do not support higher resolutions.
