im wondering how simple it would be to include usb support and perhaps a gui for launching games from?
Yes, I just recently got it compiled on my linux dev environment(as my cygwin environment was segfaulting, which I mentioned earlier.)
@all those asking for usb support:
I think I may take a stab at adding USB rom support + a menu screen of sorts, but I make no guarantees, as I don't know if I have the time to do it, but I will give it a try.(Might take a look at some of the other stuff as well, but who knows how that might go...)
This is a bit different from the problem you guys are working on, but I can't seem to get the emu to boot at all, be it the packed or unpacked ntsc versions. I've tried from two systems one being an exploited v4 and a chipped v7. I've also tried on each booting from the mc and then from usb then hdd. The program just locks up just before the main menu. Is there a specific media/path its supposed to boot from? Thanks for any help on this.
Must have nes rom on FCEUltra folder
namely:
nesrom1.nes
nesrom2.nes
please read the first post
Instructions for use:
Supports only two roms which should go in MC0:FCEUMM/nesrom1.nes and MC0:FCEUMM/nesrom2.nes
Only the digital pad is supported for directional movement.
Cross is A.
Square is B.
Select is Select.
Start is Start.
R1 toggles through 10 savestate numbers (shows onscreen).
L2 loads savestate
R2 saves savestate
Circle closes the nesrom1.nes game (needs to be pressed to save a game's SRAM data, like in zelda type games) and then loads nesrom2.nes (pushing it again after this just reloads the second rom, but it saves sram too)
kamikaz3
Thanks man, I misread it originally.
Something must be wrong with mapper 9 (mmc2) wich only affects Punch Out, looks like there are no glitches but gets real slow when fighting although in Infones there were a lot of video glitches.

i tried to use this emulator with no success. i immediately assumed that i did something wrong with running it. i've tried running from various locations, but no success yet.
after rereading, i guess i'll stick with running from MC. now will fceultra automatically create the folder? if so, then i should be able to load the roms into the folder... i assume. is there anything specific that i need to do?
Yes, it should create the folders(or at least the source code implies that it does)
