IMHO, the PS2DEV directory structure is a complete failure disregarding any standards. Relying on the PS2DEV environment variable and touching PATH is totally insane. The dev tools like ee-gcc belong to /usr/bin. Point.

I proudly present version 0.5.2 of the PS2 remote debugger:
http://debugon.org/2010/07/ps2rd-0-5-2/
Go to Bitbucket for source code and downloads.Code:- Rewrote ntpbclient C tool in Perl for platform independence. - Updated PS2 port of libconfig to version 1.4.5. - Incorporated libcheats and libconfig into normal build process; it is no more required to install them manually to PS2SDK's "ports" folder. - Changed Makefiles to support parallel building (make -j jobs). - Stripped unused library functions.
I just released PS2rd 0.5.3 which mainly adds support for Open PS2 loader:
http://debugon.org/2010/08/ps2rd-0-5-3/
A list of all changes:
Special thanks goes out to consx10 and dlsmd for testing, and to jimmikaelkael for his great patches.Code:- Improved compatibility with Open PS2 Loader; cheat system and video mode patcher integrate flawlessly. - Added ability to select game cheats manually (press up/down). - Activated cheats are now copied to cheat engine only once. - Added code type E for compatibility with other cheat systems. - Fixed freezing when there's no game in drive. - Added quick hack to enable launching ELFs from mass (to be improved). - Clear screen if Y>25. - Moved setting cheats.file to loader.cheats.
Thanks for fixing the freezing issue misfire. I tested 0.5.3 today on my SCPH-77003 1.8b Mcboot and it works![]()

Sorry for making the link looking like this, but i didn't wanted to post just 30 spam-posts for sharing some help to this thread -.-
The repository for ps2rd is now
https://github.com/misfire/ps2rd
But as far I know, the project is inactive.
https://github.com/root670/ps2rd/tree/gui
Here is the new branch with added gui capabilities. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising.
Also, note that the new project site is PS2rd by mlafeldt
