I know a lot of you would love to hack into your PS2 games to cheat in them or to change something like a character, cars, scenery, etc. It sports a cheat engine, so you can also apply cheats in-game.
Artemis is an open-source, free PS2 application that allows a user to dump PS2 memory repeatedly during game play (either to a USB flash drive, or remotely via a network cable to a PC), so as to compare these dumps (either on the PS2 itself, or remotely via a network cable to a PC, using a compare utility), and the ability to force specific memory addresses to hold specific values (in order to test results of searches), to allow users to create their own cheat and enhancement codes for games.
PS2 developers and testers are needed to help progress the project further, so please come check it out and see if you might be able to help in some way.

How exactly this works:
1.Create cheats, load the cheats and start the game with cheats
2.Create cheats and activate them during gameplay.

I would like to help, depending what exactly is needed to do and the demanding time.
I've read the Artemis history right now and can tell its a amazing project.
My hardware (if could help):
SCPH-30001 R
No Network Adaptor
USB pendrive Dane-Elec 2GB
Able to launch Homebrews, DVD's/CD's backups
I hope this could be enough to help you.

didn't realize that they had binaries out. I'll have to give 0.4 a go.

Just using the program and reporting any bugs is helpful. Report if a game doesnt work, if your codes worked for a game you were able to make, if you have any PS2 programming skills that could be useful to the team in any areas they might be having some problems, etc.
Once you have run the program, you will know if you can contribute anything useful. You can read from both the links above to learn all the functions this program can do.

Yes, aside from developers, we need testers, and anyone with ideas or feature requests. Feel free to post questions and comments here, or preferably, in the R&D forum at GSHI.

So why my simple question was ignored?

Didnt know you were asking a question, it looked like you were making a statement of how it works. And yes, thats how it works.

From what i understand, you can create cheats codes and test them either way, loading them like typical cheat apps do or load them in-game. The idea is to use the cheat engine to test your codes, not as a codebreaker or AR Max replacement.
I havent yet had time to try it out since i got so many projects now, in real life and online.
