I now have XeXMenu 1.1 installed with the FTP up and running. Now to figure out how to install games via FTP.
now that you have 9199 you can format a flash drive so that you can put xexmenu on it..
download xexmenu live and place it on
usb0:\Content\0000000000000000\
with that done, setup the network of xbox using the official dash. editing only the IP Address, or you can edit everything the IP Address, Gateway, Subnet and DNS. but IP Adress will suffice.
so just plugged in the USB and go to Games then Demo and you'll see XEXMENU fire it up it and viola your on custom dashboard. check to see if you have the right IP Adress with the one you inputed on the Network settings on the Official Dash.
next thing to do is load up FlashFXP or filezilla or whatever FTP client and connect to your IP Add on your 360. and that's it..
Installing games will be done on the PC Side since you dont have a DVD Drive..just get a hold of ISO2GOD 1.3.3 this app converts 360 and Xbox1 ISOs to GOD containers. If you want to play Xbox1 games then you need to have the Hacked Xbox1 Emu from XBINS.
that's it for now you still have many stuff to do now that you have JTAG box..XBLA, DLC, Title Update and many more..
i'll post when i have the time since im at work right now..

oh and if you wanna get a xlink game goin sometime lemme know as well i'd love to whoop ya in something :D
How in the hell do I get games on the HDD with no dvd drive? I can extract the files using xbox backup creator, but where do I FTP the files to via xexmenu 1.1?
edit - also, how do I patch with the xlink patch?
okay here comes a long winded reply lol,
to get the games to show up in xexmenu just take the files you extracted using xbox backup creator and put them in a folder called for example games under say,
fallout3 then run the default.xex using xexmenu this file should be in the folder you transfered over to your external drive using xbox backup creator.
and to patch for xlink just download the xam patch thingy and put it in the root of your external hdd or usb hdd, make sure you have dashlaunch installed as well or it won't work if you need a tutorial let me know and i'll hook you up.
What patch does the Games folder belong? in Content, root of hdd1 or elsewhere? and I just reread darthkamikaz3's post above about iso2god. is that really needed or is XBC good enough?
edit - also done dashlaunch patch in freeboot 0.32 with the tool darthkamikaz3 posted above. is that sufficient?
just want to ask this question
is dashboard more than Version 7371 is hackable ?
