    Hello guy,

since I'm planning to buy a Xbox and/or a XBox 360, I'd like to ask you some questions about them, because I didn't find anything useful in other forums and google.

First of all: Is it possible to play burned games on XBox and XBox 360? I assume, that it's not possible from the beginning (if you buy a new one; if it IS possible, please tell me . Is it possible to simply plug in something into your Xbox/360 (an USB Flash or something else) and load a program which enables you the possibility of either reading burned discs (of course after purchasing the original one), or from a HDD (of course after ripping off the .iso from an original CD)? Maybe something like FMCB for PS2?

I know already the whole thing about JTagging and other stuff like ModChips and so on, but I am looking for something which doesn't require to open your XBox/360.

Thanks in advance for every kind of information/answer

The original xbox can be soft modded like wii, but 360 needs the disk drive flashed.

What kind of soft-mod? Can you provide me with any reliable source? That'd be great.

Is it possible to flash the disk drive (I hope you mean as I do, the HDD, right?) of a 360 simply by connecting it somehow with the PC and put any software on it's HDD?

Thanks in advance for every kind of information

you will need to open 360 drive in order to flash it .and also it may require some hardware piece depend on your dvd drive brand

Thanks for that link. I think I already checked that site some weeks ago, but I might take a closer look at it.

Okay, seems like this option isn't a good one, since that would end the warranty on my 360. I'll wait until someone publicates a nice Softmod method (IF that is actually possible with the 360).

    Thanks for your help.
