    - Do not obstruct the ventilation outlets. (Put a shim in order to keep it suspended in air)
    - Do not leave him much time on. (over 4 hours let it cool a bit)
    - Keep it in a cool place.
    - Put an extra cooler if possible (if you're addicted)
    - Use thermal paste on the processors (CPU and GPU) (similar to PC)

is very simple, the Nyko cooler came with a promise "to improve cooling."
but being that the generation of slim line, despite being more compact, as was done with the purpose of reducing the maximum the problems of earlier versions, so no need.

the Nyko can even improve just a little more income per hour, but not much good because a fan turning the USB port (or 5 volts), for a small electric current, so not much point, besides being expensive.

to have had many reports that up, just trying to source more of the xbox.

I'm still afraid of Rdod , I saw so many videos with xbox slim errors on internet ... Should I sell it and buy PS3? I'm afraid Microsoft failed with the Slim line too

calm down, enjoy and play, I have the Elite Jasper a year and a half, I always update the same unlock it, and it has not gave any problem.

I think a ps3 is actually much better (especially with firmware and below 3:55), because it has more facilities in homebrews today.

but in relation to problems, the outlook is that the ps3 has problems even less, but all have a huge use, heating can present problems.

is always the way, take preventive measures, to avoid.

if your worried about the red ring(phat model do the 12 volt fan mod and/or get a rrod kit. i have been doing 360's from the arcade days. have seen many rrod in my time. mostly due to ventilation and leaving on for 8 hours a day.
have done many rrod repairs with team-xecuters rrod kit.
spent alot of time helping and etc on that site. look me up(same user name)
    for the slim, warranty?

You're lucky. I've seen many RROD falcons. I wouldn't think of running one without a fan mod or at least shroud mod. I do 9V fan mods on all versions of Xbox 360, even slim. I do PWM fanspeed mod chips on all PS3 versions.

It's a shame most consoles don't get fan mods until after they're damaged and then they're used to help sustain reflow jobs. Everyone should get one as soon as their warranty is up.
Fan mod all your consoles! PS3 Fan Booster!
