MS LIVE Gold Family Pack....grrrrr!!

Called MS to order a Gold Family pack (4 gold accounts for $99) and then they drop the bomb...all 4 accounts MUST be on the same 360 console! Man that sucks, WTF is the sense of having 4 accounts if you can not spread them across multiple 360's. I have 3 360's in the house...we all use our own machine. Obviously, and I seen this one coming, they are doing that so people don't share memberships and save alittle money. Oh well I didn't need 4 I guess...will just stick with my 2.

Seems like M$ would let you use the accounts on multiple machines..I mean, you paid for their machine 3 times (at least, provided u never had a red ring…knock on wood)…but, then again, this is M$ we are talking about…they want you to buy a subscription for EACH machine, purchase content for EACH console, own multiple copies of games for LAN Multiplayer….if you ask me, it's crap like that promote piracy…over charging, over pricing, stupid conditions….seems like buying a "Family Pack" would be like buying 4 cards at a discounted rate….

Yaa...I have tons of friends on LIVE and so does my son, otherwise I would boycott LIVE. Oh well...I seriously messed up not buying (2) 12 month gold accounts around Halo: Reach release time...they were all the way down to $29.99. Then I missed the last discount at $39.99 by 1 day. I guess I'm stuck buying 2 cards from Wal-Mart for $49.99 each...since they still have the old cards, still ringing up at the Pre-November price. This last price increase was absolutely uncalled for...guess Bill needs another couple Mansions and Jets....greedy ba$tard.

So is that how its set up? If I pay for a year of LIVE on one xbox, I wouldnt be able to access it through a 2nd xbox? Like.. same gamertag?

According to the XBOX LIVE rep I talked with on the phone...all the accounts (up to 4) with this new family pack have to be on the same darn console. So to play on another console you would either need to switch the harddrive that has the accounts on them to the other console...or I GUESS...not positive...recover all the gamertags on the other system. I'm tempted to go ahead and buy a family plan and try recovering individual tags on different consoles...see if MS is lying.

I read on this site (Xbox Live to Offer $100 Gold Family Pack) that microsoft says it is possible to split the family gold pack up. Hopefully that helps your situation.

i read u had to activate them all on same console first then transfer them over to other consoles according to xbox site
