    @TnA

    I thought that the official PS2 Linux kit was the only PS2 Linux OS that existed. I sure didn't know about other compatible distros for the PS2 (especially working for the slim).

    Thanks for sharing.

    Yepp, BlackRhino works with kernel 2.4 and debian (5?) now even with the 2.6-Kernel of MegaMen.
    Debian now even run's natively on the PS2, just by using the Kernel-Loader with the newer 2.6-Kernel (if I got that right)!

    I'm not really sure to what extent Linux can be made to run stably using only network resources in place of local HDD.
    I have not tried that myself. But I expect there may be serious problems configuring a setup to work that way.

    Best regards: dlanor

    That depends on the 'point of view' and probably on the experience users have, but to be honest...
    In my opinion it is quite easy to configure a NAS... (and OPL + SMS for it)
    You also have the benefit of all files normally shared the same and with the same rights, when you configure it the simple way (web-interface normally).
    Better than in Windows, where you need to make sure that every file has the correct file-attributes and access-rights set.

    then for linux it too complicated....
    It's atleast a bit harder, I think...

    thanks guys for your reply....
