    Thought this FBUI looked interesting. It needs 2.6 kernel. If any one can make it or compile it I would love to try it. Just think how cool a windowing system that used only 50kb. pretty cool.

    X by itself does not eat too much ram.

    if it were possible to build jwm or something similar against ps2 linux, it would also eat little ram.

    I don't know of anyone who has a real working 2.6 kernel though and can't get there myself. I consider it a very very difficult and complex job (but maybe because I'm not a kernel hacker).
