If /dev/sda3 is mounted read only, you need to scan the device for errors while it is in read only mode.
If /dev/sda1 is mounted read only, you should check the file system using Windows in the properties dialog.
Maybe you need to edit S21mount and change it to:
mount -o rw /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1
Its just sda1. Through ps2 live dvd, i wasn't able to open it through editor. So how do i edit and save it?

alright. I added the "-o rw" to th mount line, still when i try to move something it says unable to move file to /mnt/sda1.
also, i think in deb5er's img form of linux, my sda1 was re writable. I tried it only whan my sda1 was FAT partition.
now my sda1 is fat32 partition, as i needed more space.
Maybe you are not the root user (su).
after typing su in xterm, then what?
Try to write to /mnt/sda1, e.g.:
echo randomtesttextabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz >/mnt/sda1/test.txt
I didn't understand the code. Pls explain how to move files to sda1.
