Try modifying /etc/xmode
it currently contains one line - "xmode NTSC,inter"
Change this to "xmode PAL,inter"
You can edit with "su", enter password, "vi /etc/xmode"
Google instructions to use "vi" before doing this.
Of course, you can easily change the kernel parameters in kernelloader without having to learn "vi" ;-)
