Yes, 7000x (v12 and v13) are purported to work with PS2-Linux with hdcombo. FAT PS2 with hdd is the best (my opinion) PS2-Linux setup (fast hdd access, before v9 sound works without RTE, usb can take heavy read/write). I am including ease of installation in v0.8 with the FAT PS2 installations also.
None taken, I love suggestions, just not enough time in the day to follow every one to a successful conclusion ;-) However, I do believe strongly that my efforts to get SMB PS2-Linux on the Slim are important to complete the user base. This project actually may benefit from the recent work with PS2 Loader SMB (open usb loader project) which is looking at optimized native PS2 SMB. If the network drivers from this project are modified, they might be re-used by Mega Man to increase speed (just a thought)?
Just a thought please do not take offense to my suggestions.
