I tried much days to install the linux to my SLIM with USB-Flash or tried the SMB-version, but allways it dont worked.
So today i manage to boot from my usb-flash (yuppiiiiii)
I found a video on youtube with "ps2linux_usb_v0.7_1G256M32M_verbatim.imz" to manage it....
And now i just want to install or just want to manage to start "gparted". Is there a way to manage this??
I am not a linux-fan, but i thought to "apt-get install gparted" and tried to edit the "sources.list" to put a debian-server, but it comes "error in line7".....
Then i downloaded the gparted bz2, unpack it, and tried to install manually, but when i am "root" and i go to the gparted-folder and type "make" or type "install" then it comes error "permission denied" but i am "root" ! ! !
So can one tell me how i can manage to start gparted?? So a step-by-step, cause to say it again, i am not a linux-fan.....
Or can one tell me if its true and how to install linux on a slim on a usb or SMB?? I read so many threads but no one write it for noobs......
