    Some request for Kerneloader.
    1) Add possibility to run vmlinux and *.irx files from HDD (I was trying to add hdd0:+OPL/vmlinux.gz manually with no luck)
    2) Add possibility to run kerneloader without memory card and usb stcik. If I run it without config.txt on memory or usb it will freeze on "Load config from DVD"

MegaMan I want to ask you such question:

I know that you have experience with Linux Kit. Can you tell me----Does Linux Kit work on HDD which has size bigger than 127 Gigabyte ?

Also is it possible to install Linux Kit to HDD which has size bigger than 127 Gigabyte? If to format HDD with 48-bit block size will it help ?????

Also can you tell me---BBnavigator also has 127 GB -limitation??? Can it somehow to be changed???

    Another question:

Is it possible to have installed to Fat PS2 onto one HDD----BBNavigator---Linux Kit---BlackRhino with Kernel 2.4 and choose the one I like during boot in Kloader 2.7.

I just would be happy to have them all on HDD.

    @AKuHAK:
Feature 1 was long time proposed. The problem now is that it may need to much memory. Maybe it will get some day in.
Problem 2: This happens on some consoles. There need to be something in the CDVD drive, because it searches for the Linux Live DVD. There is the parameter "--no-cdvd" for kernelloader (ps2client or similar needed). I currently see no other way to fix it.

    Linux 2.2 doesn't support it.
It think it is not working with Linux 2.4. It doesn't support data after the limit. Hard disc is usable if you use less.
Linux 2.6 supports it. I did simple tests and it was working.

Installing with Linux 2.6 should work fully (ext2, ext3 simple, APA is complicated), but Sony's Linux kit is limited to the first 127 GB. For installing you need to use Linux 2.2.
When using Linux 2.4 and the preinstalled image, it should be possible to format it with special HDLoader version or OPL in APA format. I think deba5er said that Linux 2.4 will work when using a partition at the beginning of the hard disc with Linux 2.4. This means you need to install Linux first and then the games.

It uses the same Linux 2.4 kernel, so it has the limitation. I think it uses ext2.

I am not sure about BBNavigator, but the others will work. I never used BBNavigator.

It is possible to use BBnav with other linux compatible systems.

BB Nav use 5 ResiserFS partitions and 1 SWAP partition.

I cant get my PS2 to load any ISO to be seen in uLaunchELF... Is there ANY way to get a bit faster Linux from USB Stick? Maybe place a swap file on some faster medium? I have MC 8 MB and network that works... Any suggestions?

A faster USB memory would make it faster. You need a device which is faster at USB1.1 and not 2.0.

Linux should be able to mount APA partitions with PS2 filing system writeable.

Since my PS2 still cant load your ISO for some reason, even though EVERY other iso I burn runs with no problem, I thought if you could create (or at least explain how to) merge uLaunchELF ISO with your DVD so that I can boot into uLaunchELF DVD and from there to explore my dvd to locate kernelloader and other files neccessary. Any help would be useful. (I know I am pain in the a**, but I really need this now, considering I need alternative machine because I have only 1 PC in the house of 5 people )
    Thanks in advance!

Kernelloader uses the same DVD driver as SMS. So if SMS is working and reading the DVD, kernelloader should also work. Here is a tutorial which has a prepared ISO for SMS:
    Guide: Multi-Boot & uLaunchELF - Emuforums.com

This should work the same way like SMS for kernelloader. You need also to add all files from the small modchip version of the Live DVD, but don't overwrite files which are already generated in the tutorial, e.g. system.cnf. Don't use the system.cnf from the Live DVD, use the file created in the tutorial.

MegaMan can you explain in more details about size of HDD ?

I just want to buy HDD for my fat ps2---but I do not know which size of HDD will be correct for me.

I want to install Linux Kit (Kernel 2.2) to my ps2 fat, also I want to use BlackRhinoLinux (Kernel 2.4) on it, and maybe in future---if you with Archicharmer will create Linux 2.6.

So which the biggest size will work with Linux Kit ?

If I will have for example----320GB HDD---will I be able to install to it Linux Kit---if to format HDD with 48-bit APA in Winhiip ????

Sorry if I look like a noob---but I just do not want to buy twice HDD--I want to know the right size for HDD.

Also such question---If I will have for example--320GB HDD---can I make smaller Logical partition on it with help of BlackRhino Linux--and then install to such small partition Linux Kit ?

Also Megaman you created archive on sourceforge of installed Linux Kit---can I install such archive to 320 GB HDD ????

Also my fat ps2 does not have modchip installed---I only will have FMCB on it and very usefull homebrew---CogSwapLoader---I assume your PS2 also does not have Modchip installed only ---FMCB ???

Also can you explain---How to install Linux Kit---If for example I only have Kloader 2.7 and Second GPL Disc of Linux Kit ? Should I start with Kloader ------Kernel and Initrd ----of Linux Kit from Second GPL Disc ?

But how to start it from Disc if my console does not have modchip installed? Is it possible to patch Second GPL Disk of Linux Kit with ESR Patcher ????

Or do you think that the best thing to do is:
    1. Install to fat ps2 in Expansion Bay ---HDD of 120 GB in size and use it only for Linux;
    2. Use external USB-HDD for games ?

Is USB-port stable on Fat ps2 version 10 or 11 --in order to use it for launching games from USB-HDD ?????

MegaMan how do you start your Fat PS2 in VGA mode from Start-up ? Do you launch Kloader from FMCBs folder BOOT --- renamed to file BOOT.ELF when pressing button R1 on gamepad during Start of your Console ?

Is your Kloader somehow specially configured to start in VGA ?

If to use Kloader for start of Linux Kits kernel from memory card---folder BWLINUX----Does Linux Kit support Component Resolutions----Y Pb Pr---480P---720P--1080I ??? Or Linux Kit supports only PAL/NTSC/VGA ??????
