    It's been a month since I started the petition , and the response has been poor . It seems that people have forgotten the PS2 and have moved onto the PS2 entirely . With this post , I look forward to bring down the petition , as it is not being supported and merely being passed around as a joke .

    Regards,
    evilgeek23

    Sorry to hear. I'd love to have the archive back too. Lots of good posts sitting on a hard drive somewhere... However, with or without the archive, PS2-Linux moves forward, hopefully to the point where the regular (non-Linux-savvy) user has no problem loading and running programs on the PS2 that currently are not available as native .ELFs but are greatly desired by the PS2 community.

    @evilgeek23

    Well , we could still get the archives if we want .
    I would often land in the forum archives from google searches when working on a particular ps2-specific problem. I've read many mrbrown and chewi posts which I think are still relevant today, as they show details which don't appear to be documented elsewhere. So what would it take to get and host the old archives? Are they so large or complicated that this is a huge task?

    @danielb

    When you get back from vacation and bring your site up again, I'll check these archive copies that we do have to see if I can find some of the old mrbrown posts. Maybe we don't have the structure and links, but have enough of the information saved to suffice?

    Who made the mirror, didn't make it right, most of forum posts doesn't work, only the first post of each topic works...

    @danielb

    Ok, well then we do need another mirror performed on the archive. Hopefully evilgeek23 will be able to acquire it.

    Well , that petition is our only hope . And it is not being passed around .

    The archive posted by danielb is of 1 GB whereas the actual site was 8 GB . You can figure how much data is missing .
    Please make me see that smiling penguin again .
