I never had the chance to use PS2 Linux. If it's anything like X-DSL I wouldn't use it. Too slow ...

@brakken
As for slowness:
My PS2-Linux FAT PS2 HDD setup boots in 1 minute, 19 seconds which include 7 seconds of self-set delays during the boot process. And that's not to the prompt, but all the way into X-Windows and ready to start applications. But then again, a smartphone does this same thing nearly instantly, and has more apps so I suppose you have to have a specific use in mind before you determine whether it is too slow. For internet radio, auto-photo-slideshows, some games, mild (non-flash) web browsing, occasionally playing youtube videos from the internet on the same system that plays my PS2 games on my family room TV, it is plenty quick.
Many TVs sold these days have these type of apps, but can't play PS2 games, so I think a PS2 running Linux plus a regular TV is a good alternative to an expensive new TV with apps. So I definitely have a use for and interest in keeping PS2-Linux moving forward, and support this petition even if it has the slimmest chance of helping.

Sorry, I'm on backing up my files (re-install Windows).
I had several problems through-out the last two weeks,...
The article laid almost ready 'on the table' for a while, but finally it is on.
Other than that I hope to get more users to the PS2-Scene, especially the Linux-Part of it, by writing an exclusive article about you guys,... (and it won't take that long this time...)
You are the only part of the PS2-Scene worldwide, which still seem to do something about linux on PS2 and I love it.
The problem is,... A lot people still don't know about Linux and all it's features on PS2.
So,... Now I have to read the last few pages of this thread...
Btw.: There's allready an influx of atleast a few users, which all signed the petition today, since the news is online. :)
So, we should simply spread the news about the petition, on allmost every PS2-Related forum...

Thanks TnA for news submission. Awesome. Actually it is so nice and pleasant to realize that I helped also in some way, I mean "Thanks to TnA and SkyNet on front page". I feel myself in some way famous.
But actualy my main concern now is that people would gather together and all necessary votes would be collected. That would be really nice.

@TNA and Skynet,
I second the thanks for helping to get the news out. Anything to generate more interest in, and hopefully bring a few more testers/helpers to the PS2-Linux portion of the PS2 scene is much appreciated.

Thank you fellow coders and modders for showing your support .
For those who say petitions don't work , I got my first job in the industry , due to the fact that 20,000 people had signed an online petition for the release of the PS2 Linux Kit .
TnA Thank you . I'll be rolling out to other forums now for spreading the petition .

Yeap,... I'm going to hit up a post about the petition on PS3-tools.de, too. :)
Maybe some locals here in my city help,... If have a pretty big forum, just for locals/people living in my city, so there might be a few interested, too.
