Installing PS2 Linux via ESR, pink screen after a while.. (or should I use BlackRhino?)
Hi. I have a fat PS2, fmcb, network + hdd, and I am trying to install PS2 linux (not the black rhino one).
I have modified isos, that are supposed to let you install via swap methods, apparently this was not possible without adding some files form disk 2 to disk 1 or something.
I was going to follow a blind install guide, but then saw that I can hold select + r2 to boot up disk 1 in pal mode (booting up in ntsc also shows it on my screen). As soon as I press X/return key on 'Install', it loads up etc, and then the screen goes pink.
I am not sure if this is the PS2/disk crashing, not being read etc, or if it stops outputting in PAL and I simply cannot see the output. (thus I would follow the blind install guide)
I am installing PS2 Linux so that I can write some simple homebrew, I have used official Sony PS2 Linux kits, but I no longer have access to them.
If BlackRhino can do everything the 'official sony linux' can do, i.e compile stuff, have access to the PS2 hardware, just as the official one does, then I will give up and install that.
Please help, thank you for every reply :)
