I been tryng to cheat in some games .. with Swap Magic 3.8 ..
So i choose my Cheats .. press "Start" to start to the game then i gotta choose "Normal" "Special" and somethin .. when i do that i gotta choose "Pal" "Default" or "NTSC... but b4 choosing the screen mode i put in my FFX cd and press "PAL" then .. Swap magic says that i dont have a Valid PS2 disc ?
so i how i can solve this .. lol

If the game is ESR patched, then it is normal, as SM will recognize it as DVDVideo.
If it's not, then the thread doesn't belong here (neither ESR nor even general homebrew related).

The best way of using cheat codes with ESR-patched games is to use a patched CodeBreaker elf. After selecting cheats, when you give the command to start game, this will be able to instead launch a homebrew of your choice. For me this will usually be uLE, which I can then use to launch the game by various methods (original disc, ESR boot, HDLoader, Open PS2 Loader).
But a distinct limitation is that CodeBreaker does not work at all on the latest PSTwo models (SCPH-900xx with bios v2.30)
So if you have one of these newer consoles, where FMCB also doesn't work, then CodeBreaker is not for you.
Another limitation of CodeBreaker is that on other slim consoles from SCPH-750xx and up, CodeBreaker will only work when there are no USB devices connected.
