Well, I've got a problem with Dual Layer discs too.
If I patch the game with Toxic+ESR patcher in the booting process ESR show all the colors but then the screen stay black and the game doesn't load... if only patch the ISO with ESR the gajme load..... but it will freeze if it had to access the second layer of the disc.
I've tried with Rogue Galaxy and GOW2 with no success at all..... with 2 different burners and different media. I'm currently using Pearl White Verbatim DL+ (MGM) but I've used different media before.....
