    Hello!

I tried to patch my game so I could play it in English... but when I put it into the console, ESR just gave me a pink screen with scanlines. I tried the game without the English patch and it still didn't work... any suggestions?

Additional info - it was burnt at 4X speed and I have PAL PS2. My Kingdom Hearts 1 backup works fine, although that is a PAL backup and not an NTSC-J Backup... does that affect it? Also, I have patched both iso's with the ESR patcher, too.

Thanks for any replies! I've burnt so many discs and this is driving me mad... I've looked all over the internet too.

If your TV can not support NTSC yea it could be the problem
How are you connecting your PS2 component composite?

you could use GSM to force PAL but game might not run right

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

This fixed it and the game works fine, thank you!

.. but there is a problem. The game isn't centered on the screen and it's 'letter boxed'. Shall I try using an older version of GSM or is there another fix for this?

you can use the right analog stick to center it better

and if you want the 4:3 ratio I would use your TV controls to switch that
