Is this normal operation? –
I was trying to run a patched backup (NFS Carbon) using ESR beta r9b running on FMCB 1.8b, I also installed uLaunchELF onto the memory card.
I booted from the MC with no disc inside, I inserted the disc, ran ESR, the logo ran, then the color screens, and finally it loaded the uLaunchELF screen. After that I looked into the cd drive and ran the SLUS file and worked perfectly... Is this normal operation or should it run directly without looking up the SLUS via the uLaunchELF? also, should it run directly if I power up the PS2 with the disc inside?
Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be appreciated.
What You doing is usless until You don't want cheating etc.
Use ESR direct, not mccard version. It will be faster and easier.
also, should it run directly if I power up the PS2 with the disc inside?
Thanks for the reply....I'm running it on an unmodded ps2 slim, I need to boot from the MC, that's why I'm booting it from the MC, and I wanted it to boot the fastest way possible without swapping discs.
You misunderstand me. It doesn't matter from which location ESR will be booted.
- ESR mc_card run mc?:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF (for launch homebrew with active ESR driver)
- ESR direct and direct off boot cdrom0:/XXXX.XXX.XX (for launch game in device)
But how do I get the game to run directly without entering uLaunchELF interface?
run esr direct
