My backed burnout dominator doesnt work with esr will the patch make any difference?

Okay so i baked up my burnout dominator as a friend of mine who had taken it scratched it terribly the problem is, that i do have a modchip, it used to work fine with the modchip but my modchip has been giving me some trouble lately so i decided to use esr.
Now the game(as well as anyother game that doesnt have an elf file in it) doesnt work with esr, i wanted to know will it work with esr if I use the esr patch?
I checked the compatbility list and it stated that Burnout Dominator(PAL) and Burnout Dominator work fine with it.
all of my other games (the ones that have an elf in them) work fine with esr even without the patch, so whats wrong?
I am using esr r9b, and my game is Burnout Dominator NTSC U/C SLUS 21956
Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to waste a dvd.
Doesnt work as in, when i try to run the game using esr it just shows a blank black screen and nothing else.

dude you have to use esr patcher in order to use with ESR ..


which app you used to burn the iso ?

on which speed ?

and which type or brand of dvd you used ?

give us more info .

Yes, it will make a world of difference, since as amp said it has to be patched in order to work.

Thanx for being such wisecracks..but yes, supposedly the games do work well with esr even if theyre not patched as long as you have a modchip installed in your ps2 which ofcourse makes your ps2 read backups.
I use sms player to run my dvd-rs containing divx videos and dont need to follow any special procedure to make them work on my ps2 as well as with esr.
Get a modchip and check for yourselves.
And @lolwut:
Supposedly some games dont work with modchip but it allows me to read anything that i burn on to a dvd as well as a game(uptill the point where it says playstation 2 after that it shows a blank, which i suppose is the point where the laser actually picks up reading after it has verified the authenticity of the dvd)
These dvds however do work with ESR but if i remove my memory card and then try to play it it wont work.
If you want ill put up a youtube video showing you people that.

if the game won't work via mod chip, it won't work via ESR. the disc is too far damaged and will probably need to be resurfaced.

i didn't offend you just stated a fact modchip = play backups regardless of esr...

and take bootlegninja's advice either fix the dvd or borrow/rent and make a backup of it since you have the ORIGINAL.
