hey everyone, i just recently came across free mcboot and i'm running into a few snags here and there. #1. i downloaded the noobie package 1.8, followed the guide and successfully put fmcb on mc. ps2 now runs fmcb from mc. #2 i tried to use the esr to load esr patched backup game, but i can't get it to work. on esr screen it gives me the option to launch cdvd, apps or osdsys(?), and at the bottom there's a status bar telling when the tray is open/close and detecting. it reads regular games but not the one i patched(btw i'm using nero 6 to copy and burn isos) when i click launch cdvd the screen goes black, if i touch nothing the status bar at the bottom of the screen stays on detecting. i also followed two other guides on two other mc one from here a pirate site that shouldn't be linked to. and the other here [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xZP_iuoqXU"]YouTube - How to play PS2 Backup games like having a modchip pt 1[/ame]. now my other two mc can only boot ulaunch after i assigned it to a key (first card still on default.) if i try to click on ulaunch the regular way the esr9 screen flashes and then goes black. i can hear the cd spinning but nothing happens on the screen. can anyone plz tell me what i'm doing wrong . and would like to thank who ever replies in advance, your help is appreciated, been up all night trying to figure this out. to recap fmcb is good , but my esr is f'ed

iS THE game a cd game or a dvd game? It could be that the game is not compatible with ESR.

IT could be a bad ISO or crappy media. Try to rip the ISO again from the original game using Imageburn, patch the ISO with ESR patcher, then burn with Imageburn with auto settings. Try to use sony, TDK or verbatim dvd's.

there is your problem! nero isn't cut out for this. you have to use IMGburn (www.imgburn.com) or at least dvddecrypter for rips and burns.

also you'll need to use good quality media such as sony, verbatim, or tdk and throw out the cheap media (memorex or ect.). don't forget to use the ESR gui disc patcher to patch the disc image before the burn.
