some of the homebrew discs I have made give me a pink screen when I try to load with ESR Direct but if I load the elf from the DVD with the MC ver it runs fine.

I know it sounds like more of a problem with the disc creation and not ESR but I wanted to throw it out there if anyone has had this problem and could maybe help.

Example I built two different discs for the same emulator. One works the other does not. The only significant difference is the number of files on the root of the disc, would this matter?

besides the fact that some if not most of the elf's wont run from a CD or DVD

if it is one of those that will run from CD/DVD do you have "SYSTEM.CNF" file on your CD/DVD

Yes I have the SYSTEM.CNF file pointing at the ELF file. In this specific case I don't think it is not a problem with the ELF itself or the SYSTEM.CNF as they are the same on both discs. One loads the other does not. The one that does not load will still work via ulaunch. The one that does not work has 120+ files on the root of the disc, could this be a problem?

how did you build it with a slandered iso program like nero or with a ps2 specific iso builder

if it was a program like nero that would be your problem

    try looking for CDGEN3.0

I used imgburn. So I guess I will try a cdgen. I did not think it was needed as the first disc worked ok.

    Thanks for the tip dlsmd
