Help a newbie out. –

Please.
So I have Free McBoot (Version 1.8) along with the ESR that came in the noobie package and I've made an iso of NCAA Football 06 however this is where I'm stuck.
When I burnt the iso to a TDK DVD-R my PS2 acted like I had inserted the original disk (Please insert a PS1 or PS2 disk) - Maybe I missed a step, I'm not sure.
Which is why I'm asking for assistance in this matter, I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what to do next.
I hope I've posted in the right spot.
Thanks in advance.

Eh ? Is that really what you meant to say ?
Because with the original PS2 game inserted there would of course be no error message.
The game would just boot up normally...
Possibly you meant "like I had inserted a blank disc", or something like that.
(Please insert a PS1 or PS2 disk)
This is what you get on a PS2 when inserting any burned disc which is not accepted by the mechacon (the PS2 CDVD controller) as a valid CD-Audio or DVD-Video disc.

I'm pretty sure you missed the ESR-patching of the ISO before burning it to the DVD-R disc.
It is that ESR patch which tricks the mechacon into accepting the burned game as being a DVD-Video disc, for which access is permitted.
Which is why I'm asking for assistance in this matter, I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what to do next.
Download an ESR patcher from the first post of the thread "Sticky: ESR - public beta". I suggest using the GUI version, as that is most practical to use.
You simply start that program, and either use its patch command to open a filebrowser where you can choose the ISO file, or if you have an explorer window open that shows the directory holding the ISO file, you can simply pick the file up with the mouse and drag-drop it onto the ESR patcher GUI window. Either way this will patch the ISO as needed.
And after burning the patched ISO to a DVD-R disc you should be able to boot the game by having that disc in the tray when booting FMCB, or by inserting the disc later and using either the Sony Browser from the FMCB menu, or the "MISC/PS2Disc" command of uLaunchELF.
All three of those methods will automatically invoke the ESR elf when recognizing an ESR-patched disc in the CDVD tray.

I had more problems pertaining to not being able to get the ESR patcher to run but a reboot (It's always the most simplest things, Ain't it?) fixed it and the game works perfectly.
I appreciate the help, Thank you dlanor.
