Yes, he's right. It will work. The only files that the patcher replaces are files containing text and some graphics. Models, textures, sounds, etc. are left untouched (original IZJS).

Is he a Guest right now? His outfit when he's a Guest is different, he get's his normal outfit when he permanently joins your party.

Yes, any. Even french, german or any PAL versions.
What's the deal with Basch robe ? Didn't know anything about this !

Some guest characters have varying appearance and even varying fighting behaviour depending on what stage of the game you're in, though the guests that ultimately join your party permanently then 'stabilize'.

For the case of Basch you (as Vaan) originally find him in a prison cell, hung up for torture, so it's no wonder he doesn't have his usual clothes or weapons at that point. After that jailbreak, where he first joins the party as a guest, he will also continue fighting with only hands and feet for a while, until he finds an abandoned sword which seems in decent enough condition to be useful. All these changes are part of the story, and pretty much identical in all versions of the game.

i was wrong, they change the larsa's color robe in the collector's edition
the v0.18a only will fix the bug in the application of the patch or will add any bug fix in the game ?

Version History:

v0.19:
Fixed hunt descriptions/status. Doesn't always look really nice, but
at least it is all visible now. Did some simple automatic text
rewrapping. If anyone wants to do it by hand, contact me.

Some minor changes in the patcher. Hope this will fix the "couldn't
write section" problem that some people had reported.

Not many, but quite useful changes. Hope the small fix will solve the issue for the 3-4 guys that reported it. Just added the hunt status thing to justify new release

thanks for the update
i can't get the zodiac lance (don't apears noone treasure) and the secret merchant don't apears too
i tryed after first time in jahara e after first time in eryupt village, but when i go there search the secret merchant, he is not there, only the pandora it's there. i have seen a video on the youtube the right location of the secret merchant, so i know the right place
someone with this trouble ??
