Why are all the menus in 16:9 mode with this patch? It's extremely hard to read text on my 4:3 tube tv.

Is how all good gaming systems came to be
I'm having a huge issue installing this patch. I followed the instructions, and watched several videos on how to do it. MY PC is very modern and powerful. When I run the patcher after following all the steps the installer hangs on "executing type_05". This constantly happens. I tried everything, running in admin, taking off admin, reinstalling everything. Nothin is working I'm getting the same results. What am I doing wrong? Is there a work around? I used the latest patch v.22, I also tried the previous version and got the same results. Help!
Well, I have two questions about this awesome release:
1) With the patch 0.22 available, I've decided to patch and start the game to know exactly what's different from the 'retard pack' version. BUT, at least for me, this patch has yet some characters in japanese. Does anyone else got kanji/hira/kata somewhere in the game? For me, when in Bhujerba, while Vaan have to yell he's Basch, all the HUD about the shout is in japanese.
2) I've already patched isos with previous patches before, all worked fine, just had to patch for the PS2 HDD this time, but in every single try I've patched, the subtitles were overwrited but 'small font' one. I mean, the East version has capital fonts and with the patch, all the fonts were converted in 'small font', like the ones from the menu. What I have done wrong?
Well, I don't wanna bother people here, neither want to upset ffgriever, but did you worked alone in this patch? What about the polish translation? Got some help in some part?
I would love to try something, I would imagine this game in so many other languages, included my own.
I'm new on PSX-Scene, so I can't share links and other things.
Would like to share a custom cover some time.
One last question: Does anyone got all the disc arts made by TeK-DeLorean? I've lost most of them and can't find it anymore.
Re-up of the three labels
Gentlemen, I'm having problems getting this patch to work. I hit the executable and nothing happens. I renamed both iso images the way the instructions dictated. Both iso images function. They are located in the same place as the application. What gives? I'm sure it's something stupid. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. I've spent over an hour going through this thread.
Edit: my problem was naming the file what was quoted in the read me. Leave out the .iso. Thanks for all the hard work, ffgriever. Hopefully I'll enjoy this version more than the one I bought in 2006.

No, you can't leave the ".iso" part out. Your system is simply configured to hide the extensions of known file types. So when you added the additional extension, it actually ended as "ff12us.iso.iso". I'm really curious why the hell microsoft sets this (hide extensions) as default value. It's annoying, insecure and unhandy. Nevertheless, I'm glad you've figured it out.

Hey for developpment purposes could you include how you actually managed to decrypt the ps2's files????? Please! I and I think others too may definatly want to try some of their own translating on ps2 games. Please do reply!
