I was having trouble getting the v0.18 patch to run earlier, it was failing at about the 700meg point due to a write error. I still had the same problem with the v0.19 patch. Looks like it was an operating system issue, because I'm running Windows 7 and I got it to work just fine in Windows XP.
Sorry to hear that. The patcher definitely works on win7 (I use win7 x64 myself). It surely is some os related stuff. For next version I'll try to do some additional changes. Hard to say what happens. I can't reproduce the problem. By all means, the disk operations are all so simple, that they couldn't fail... yet they do.
Guys, is it worth using the patch at its current state? I'm thinking of doing my second playthrough of FFXII on the IZJS version, but is the patch very stable? Will there be much issues if I use the PAL version for the english source?
Yes, this is totally worth it. I wouldn't have played IZJS nearly as much if I didn't use this patch, and I started from v0.12 of the patcher. Patching from a PAL disc has a couple more issues, more if you're not using an English version.
Just take a look at the "known issues" in either readme or the first post. You won't even notice most of them... All the game is in english (except one short sentence in outro). No hangs, freezes or such. You can complete every aspect of the game. The difference between using NTSC U/C or PAL/UK versions for text donor is not that big. One additional problem that I'm aware of (they will look different though, as there is different font in US and PAL versions - everything is optimized for US font, but since PAL font is shorter, that's fine).
PS. Just to let you know. A member of psx-scene forums, morningstar, wasted some of his free time and fixed the text wrapping in hunt descriptions. It should look much better in the next version.

Note that FFXII International ZJS is different game than the NTSC U/C or PAL. You won't find many items in usual places. Some monsters drop different items. Spawning points for some monsters have been changed.
It's most likely why you can't get it to spawn in the usual place. The patch itself shouldn't by any means change anything regarding this matter. If you're unsure, you can always play original, unpatched ZJS version and see if it behaves the same way (I'm 99.99% sure you'll get the same result).
I can't tell you where or how to spawn it. I don't know.
Oh, also, how's the save compatibility with IZJS? Will I have to start a completely new game?
