ESR starts uLE –
I just installed FMCB 1.8b on a 64MB max memory card and everything seems to work ok except for when ESR starts.
When I insert a backup, ESR starts, screen flashes colors as normal but then uLE starts instead of booting the game. I'm using ESR r9b.
What is strange is that if I put my usb drive on that has ESR r9a on it the game will boot fine.
Could this be a problem with ESR and this type of memory card? Cause the same installation with ESR r9b works fine on my Sony 8MB card.
You have used mc_card version. Use direct or GUI version of ESR to choose options manually.
I copied the GUI version to the memory card and its working now. Thanks for the help.
Hello, i think that is normal because is the mcard version, and if you copy the direct version renamed as ESR.ELF to the boot folder in the mc it will launch your backup in stead of launch the ule., that version that you have now lets you to look for the sles_xxxx... slus_xxxx... File to launch your backup..
In fact the 'mcard' version of ESR is not really intended for launching of commercial games at all, though it can be done in the way you describe. But the real purpose of the 'mcard' ESR variant is to allow homebrews access to data files on burned discs.

And so on for other homebrew programs...
