who knows, maybe there is an extra media check.
as far as i can tell core.gt4 (or a similarly named file) is a headerless gzip data. it's a packed main game executable, and the loader switches to it probably right after the title screen. there could be an extra check there.

Sorry I don't have a dual layer burner, othewise I'd have done exactly that. Why to take all the pain of all the downsampling.
Anyways, can anybody tell me what's the problem with my setup. I'm pretty sure that I have followed all the steps properly.
What does the different colors flashing means? Can somebody explain their meanings?
Thanks

I think when it stays red it means it can't read a specific file or the file is missing from the disc, not sure what the other colours mean.
You don't have a dual layer burner yet you have a dual layer player that's kinda odd.

I have a laptop DVD burner Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-5560A. I'm under the impression that my DVD burner does not support dual layer burning. Am I wrong? Do all DVD burners which read dual layers, can write dual layers as well?
I tried a bit of googling but didnt get any useful page describing my DVD burner specifications.

Ok, I got hold of this page describing the specifications of my DVD burner.
http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...80/en/spec.htm
It says OK against "Write" for DVD+R Double Layer and DVD-R Double Layer.
So does it mean "1. my burner can burn dual layer DVDs or DVD9."
Or it just means "2. my burner can burn a normal DVD to a DVD9 media."
In case it's 1, I just need to get hold of a balnk dual layer DVD and try my luck.
