V14 (75004) PAL SLIM SYSTEM I tested with Tenchu3 wrath of heaven dvdv dboot sometimes works, sometimes it doens't.. this is really piss me of i wasted one dvd+r. i waiting for the final ESR Version or i play my modchip.mc version of ESR not working BLUE SCREEN of DEATH!!!! i waited 12 min and not working.God luck programming this great program!!!
If you already have the mod chip installed, you should be able to figure that one out yourself. Personally I've yet to have a game that doesn't work under ESR.

Please note that most of the modchips forces the laser diode to work at a higher level of light transmission, by providing it a higher ammount of power.

The advantage of using only ESR is that it doesn't mess with laser diode power supply. So if your game runs fine, it means the game was recorded in good media and your PS2 likes it.
P.S.: l_oliveira can correct me if I had said any bullshit!
Tried this for the first time, this morning. Beautiful program! The first game I tried (Shining Force EXA) worked without any conflict. I cant say the flashing pink and teal is very appealing before the game loads
I have had to start my ps2 with the lid open, and then boot ESR before closing it, this shouldnt be a problem after the new FMCB implements skipping auto-boot disc.
Havent tried configuring ESR to a hotkey yet, so Im gonna give that a shot right now.
I tell i have 2 ps2 1. V9 pal system (Fat ps2)
2. v14 pal system (slim ps2)
i write patched tenchu3 and fatal shadow (dvd+ Benq) Slim not working with esr cant read the benq dvd but other working philips tdk ... but the v9 fat ps2 can read fine benq and other and working superb with esr!
so my v9 better than my v14 slim?? or my v9 laser diode gonna blow up sonner??? noooooooo
and how can i remove the FRee mc 1.6 boot logo or how can i change???
I know this isnt the thread for this
I dont think removing the splash or loading screens are possible with out actually disecting the program on your computer. not yet anyway. The ps2 is not built like an xbox, where you can access such files and minpulate them
More to the point, in FMCB v1.6 the current splash screen is 'hardcoded' into the main boot program, and that is why it can't be replaced. It would have been possible to design it to use an external picture file instead, but that would have made the package even more complex, and noobs are having bad enough troubles as it is without adding to them unnecessarily.

that is disappointing!

edit: actually It worked... I used a esr patched game on a usb stick and launched as normal from usbadvance. it was however a game that normally works for usbadvance, so I have no idea if this would increase compatibiltiy at all.
edit: it doesnt appear to increase compatibility.

It doesn't increase compatibility, because it doesn't change anything. Come to think of it: how something (DVDV patch) that doesn't change anything used by game, nor the USBA itself could increase compatibility? It's obvious.
And I didn't mean DVDV patch (which is just a way of fooling mechacon to not reject the media)... I meant that ESR (application) will make USBA crash (or usba will make esr crash... that's more suitable in this case, because it's actually usba code that overwrites mine, thus makes it crash ).
Why would you want to remove or change the FMCB logo? It's there to let everyone know what's the name of application and give you the names of authors. They deserve it!
