when i can expect a new version of ESR (or FMCB)? im asking because im checking this thread every day looking for it :P
greetings![]()
Then simply look at it every 2weeks.
You never could expect a new version, cuz you never know, when a developer decides, to stop working on a project, or are not willing to publish it anymore.
About FMCB,...
Last Beta was pretty good, but not perfect.
I assume in a week or 2, it also may come tomorrow man.
In last... It is Jimmis decision here...
and ffg's in the case of ESR.
Why should he release a new version, everytime he had done a little fix, like adding a missing "}" (<--Without quotes,...) in source ().
When he think, that it is stable and "enough new is done", it comes...
ESR is close to Version 1.0 and ffg wants a very stable version for this,...
Big problem here...
Console: PAL, SCPH-77004. Booted with FreeMCBoot 1.5 on ESR direct r9a File ISO patched with ESR disc patcher GUI v0.24a
Game: Codebreaker v10,
Result: FAILED! (Crash on PINK colour)
Anybody can tell me why ? :P
CodeBreaker is not a standard PS2 game... it has different boot-up codes and what not that aren't compatible with ESR (this is what I'm assuming anyway) .. I would try using the mcard version and launching the codebreaker ELF from uLE or similar. There have been ways to boot up codebreaker with swap discs for a while.. But I dunno, since the ESR code has to be started (either at boot or from uLE or the like but only after mcard ver started) ... somehow... codebreaker seems like the kinda software that might not work.
Well... I have a good answer for you: It will be available once it is ready. Brilliant, isn't it?
But seriously, I don't have too much time recently. I have gui version finished (with some additional features that cannot be found in the current versions) and I'm working on some changes for r9b. At the beginning all the problems were rather obvious, but recently everything requires a lot of time spent on debugging. Plus, as it was already mentioned, I don't want to release new version every time some small fixes are made (plus now, I have three branches of ESR... one is the usual, simple; second is the gui, third is the one for CD games written simply as ISOs onto DVDV disc - in all of them the core is almost the same, but there are some changes).
