ESR problem with Dark Cloud 2
ESR problem with Dark Cloud 2 –
01-30-2010,09:50 AM
Hi,
I have a problem in using ESR(r9b) for the game: Dark Cloud 2(NTSC-U). My PS2 console is SCPH-30002 R (a fat Australian one). I burned the esr-patched iso into a DVD-R with 4x speed. When I tried this disk on my FMCB/ESR-enabled PS2(the disk could be recognized as other working patched discs, which are DVD+R with other games burnt on it), some color cycles appeared endlessly when I selected the "start apps" in the ESR menu. The color sequence shown on the screen is: red(1 second)->blue(1 seocnd)->purple(3-5 seconds)->dark screen(3-5 seconds)->red(1 second)->blue(1 second)->purple(3-5 seconds)->dark screen(3-5 seconds)->..... In some of the cycles, the FMCB would even be rebooted(FMCB reboot logo shows up on the screen but does not fully cover the screen. From the uncovered area, I could still see the red->blue->purple-> cyan->dark screen until the FMCB reboot logo is gone. Then the cycle would be set to red->blue->purple->dark screen->.... Would you advise what is the possible problem for that? Is ESR compatiable with Dark Cloud 2 or DVD-R?FMCB version (V1.8)

1) I don't see a "start apps" option.
2) Try Launch CDVD.

Sorry about before. I mean I used the "Launch CDVD", then that endless color cycle happened.

Are you able to create a properly constructed sentence or paragraph? For Christ sake, please fix this god awful text wall.

OK. the procedure is as follows:
1. patch the iso(Dark Cloud 2-NTSC-U) with ESR patcher V0.24a
2. burn this iso onto a DVD-R at 4x speed using Nero
3. put this disc into a SCPH-30002 R machine with ESR(v9b)/FMCB(v1.8) installed
4. ESR user interface pops up, showing "PS2DVDV in the drive"
5. click "Lanuch CDVD"
6. endless color cycle begins. the sequence is red(1 second)->blue(1 seocnd)->purple(3-5 seconds)->dark screen(3-5 seconds)->red(1 second)->blue(1 second)->purple(3-5 seconds)->dark screen(3-5 seconds)->.....
7. In some of the above cycles, the FMCB bootup screen could show up but did not fully cover the screen. The color cycle changes to red(1 second)->blue(1 seocnd)->purple(3-5 seconds)->cyan(1 second)->dark screen(3-5 seconds)
8. after some of the color cycles, the FMCB bootup screen disappeared. Then the color cycle changes to red(1 second)->blue(1 seocnd)->purple(3-5 seconds)->dark screen(3-5 seconds).
That is it. what is the problem for that and how to solve it?

How did you get/make your ISO. you want answers, you need to give the full story.

I converted an original PS2 diisk into an iso using UltraISO-v8.63. Then I started the first step in my previous post. One correction on the color sequences in step 6: the first color sequence is red->blue->purple->cyan->dark screen. After that the rest of the color sequences are red->blue->purple->dark screen until the FMCB bootup screen showed up.

I'm gong to list all areas where you completely ****ed up on.
1. you borrowed the disc. Meaning you down own it therefore you have no legal right to it. Piracy.
2. I noticed you looking at this thread earlier. http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61765 (If you downloaded your game, READ THIS!)
Makes me think you downloaded it. Still, PIRACY.
3. You used a program known to ass rape a PS2 disc image.
4. You lied to me about breaking rules.
5. You actually thought you could get past me on this. I've seen every type of piracy scenario with every excuse. you are by no means original.
I suggest you never post about this again for risk of banning.

It's really not wise to commit to piracy from your college's IP address

I knew something was fishy about it as well,
Give any dumb-ass enough rope, and they will eventually hang themselves...
