...ESR problem

Ok, I am completely failing in my attempt to use ESR.

I install FMCB 1.7 fine with no problems. But when I try using ESR it just goes to a black screen. I am nearly positive that everything has been installed fine. ESR is configured to run ESR.ELF. But it just foes to a black screen. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

I don't know if it matters but my console is a SCPH-30001. My launch PS2

Forget to mention, Yes the game is patched.

I'm not 100% sure if it has anything to do with it, but ESR refused to work for me too, until I set uLaunchELF's "Disc Control" (Or whatever it's called) to ON.

Give that a try.

The game is Spiderman 2. It is Dvd-5, single-layer and it is the same region as my console. (NTSC)

-How did you start ESR (auto, or manually --> If manually, your disc is in the drive before you start ESR, I assume.)?
-Which variant of ESR did you use exactly?
-Which type of DVD+/-R/RW?
-Which type of DVD-Writer, Firmware, Burning-Application, etc.??

@IJTF_Cinder: He didn´t mentioned using ule, but that "ESR" is mapped to "ESR.ELF" (~in my meaning~ "ESR is mapped correctly in the ESR-Path-Option.").

I know that, but ESR wouldn't work for me until I did what I said.

I don't know how it all works, is that just coincidence and uLE has nothing to do with ESR?

-I tried both auto and manually, and yes the disc was in the drive.
-As for the variants I tried, R9b direct and direct off as well as R8 and R8a with direct and direct off.
-Memorex DVD+R
-Writer= Memorex 16x Dual Layer, and I have whatever the latest firmware is.
As for burning application I primarily use Ashampoo. but tried Nero to help with ESR and it didn't work either.

Spiderman 2 is the reason I tried ESR because it didn't work with CogSwap and now it still doesn't work.
