Is it possible to load an backup of an game for online gaming?
I had an DNAS error while i tried to start KillZone, it was an backup.
Is this caused by ESR or FMCB??

i hope this answers your questionDNAS consists in using a set of codes in a protected area of the game DVD together with serial numbers from the console EEPROM for online authentication. Game backups or copies using regular DVD-R burners do not have this protected area, and the games fail to authenticate to the servers.
I don't know about ESR because I use a modchip, but if I want to play a game online
first I find the correct DNA on the web (or use a program to get it from the original)
then I use Windip to patch the ISO image with the correct DNA before I burn it
yes it is possible to patch the DNAS code of your backup again, with the original DNAS code. (after backing up and burning a game, the DNAS code get's "scrambled")
So what u need to do is retrieve the DNAS code from your original disk. So... look at my signature, go to "PS2 APPS" then go to "tutorials" u will find a file called:
"Extract, Patch and Inject DNAS300.IMG DNAS File.rar"
There will be everything u need.
Open up discidutil.zip in that same file, and burn the bin&cue on a cd, then put it into your ps2.
a program will start
put in your original game
press X to retrieve DNAS code
write it down on paper (press X a couple times to make sure u get the same code every time)
make image/backup of your original game (use imgburn or dvd decrypter)
use the dnas_id.exe program to patch your game image with the DNAS code u retrieved
burn the image
all done
i had many problems with my backup of Killzone, i think there server is kinda fooked.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just try a little later on. it will work eventually.
I saw people telling that there's a universal code
xx xx 01 30 af
give it a shot...
Here's a list on which game servers that are still online, don't know how up to date it is:

Maybe you just wrote this because you didn't want to get too technical. But afaik the DNAS ID is on a place on the disc where you can't burn information, like the "disc head". And a DNAS client on the disc checks the ID and reports it to the server. So when you patch a backup you replace the client with one that just sends your ID of choice instead of checking the unexisting location.
PAL DNAS IDs
USA/NTSC DNAS IDs
Indeed, just patch it with windip (read the code from your original disc), then patch it with ESR patcher. It will work just fine (I tried with some of my games as well as NAD+HWAO).
I got Socom 2 to work off ESR, anyone try Socom Combined Assault?
Just a warning, after you bypass the dnas check killzone will download a 3mb patch and then after that it will look like it goes into the lobbyish screen and then kick you off because it "detects a cheat device" even if one doesn't exist. If you keep trying to log on it will eventually ban. My guess is it detects FMBC.
