ESR Long black screen

Today I've burned FFXII on a Verbatim DVD-R x8 using IMGBURN
I patched it with ESR GUI patcher 0.24a before I did
I burned the game at 6x though because this Verbatim only supports 6x and 8x write speeds
I went into the ESR GUI Menu and detected the DVD as PS2DVDV
Launched the game, it passes the debug screen with the colors and then...
The long black screen of death
I also have Shadow of the colossus burned at 8x speed and it takes minimum 5 minutes to get past that VERY long wait of a black screen...
