Those are pretty good news, if compatibility can be increased even if that means having two versions of hdloader (i'm referring that some games will work, but maybe ones that worked before stop doing it).
You all are reviving ps2 scene, before fmcb started my ps2 had been off for half a year I think.
Speed in what sense? network speed > usb 1.1 and games are playable already through usb 1.1 with its known drawbacks.

I read this thread backwards due to my forum settings and totally misunderstood it, so never mind my last post.
Still just to clear some doubts, to make this possible what is needed is a CD/DVD driver that would serve as the network interface and a loader to load the game like HDLoader?
Out of curiosity I loaded a PS2 game to my PC and used RadHost shared the game directory. uLE was able to browse the game dir through host and I tried to load the game but the ps2 froze in a black screen. I monitored the network bandwidth and it was transferring data at 1.5mbps more or less for arround 1 min.
