Hmm... The question is in the title. Using the method to create a Multi-Game PS2 DVD (though I doubt CDLoader will work with slim line systems- which I have a V7 console and a V12 console) and patching it for ESR, would it be possible to play it?

Also... Is there an alternative to using this method without CDLoader, but another loader that can work on all (or most) PS2 versions?

Yes, is possible to boot multigame DVD.
I've made a 5 game DVD to work with ESR, all you have to do is to use PS2 Multiloader (I've used v1.41). But there is a catch to make it work, before you run the game, you have to press "O" and change the mode to "1.33", otherwise the game will not run.

Things that I've learned is that games from the same franchise like Moto GP1/2 or anything like, doesn't work.

By pressinf Circle... What do you mean? If it's patched for ESR, then it'll boot and hold Circle once it begins the boot process after accessing ESR?

I think he was talking about a button command for the Multi-Loader program.
So this button press should be made during the boot process, as you guessed.

    Best regards: dlanor

You need to learn, how to use Multi-Loader and how to create a Multi-Game-DVD.
    Then patch it with ESR.

If your FMCB 1.7 + ESR-Path is configured properly, it directly boots your ESR-Backups through the PS2-Browser.

When Multi-Loader boots up, you press O/CIRCLE and you will see Mode 1.33, or something on screen (...or you simply use an older Multi-Loader-Version, such as 1.33 thought...).

Then, you choose your game and start it.

    PS2 V7/CC1.0 (FW:34 hacked v2 BM:2.1.6); Maxtor DiamondMAX9 PLUS 160GB
    PS2 SCPH-30004R; NoMod+NoLaser

    MAX/Datel 16MB with Boot-CD

    Ah, alright. Thanks.

One last question... Would I use the PS2 Multiloader in place of the CDLoader I saw in the tutorial?

No one know how to explain what exactly happens, ESR will make you multiDVD to boot, after that if you don't set the mode to 1.33 the games will not run.

I got the jist of that. Now, I'd like to know if I'd follow this tutorial, replacing the CDLoader with the PS2 Multi-Loader. And of course, patching it in the end.

Many already told you what software to use and how to make it work.
I did not follow any tutorial, just dump the games in a folder with PS2 ML, created the ISO with ImgBurn, patch and burn, simple as that.

So there are no files I need to delete to make the games fit? And I don't know another tutorial for Multi-Game DVDs. There's one on this site, isn't there?
