hi, the special trailer option will generate itself, where the user doesnt have to type anything for it.. so i think its a good thing :P

and your list is great, you did a good job there i will finish it 1-12 so we should be set.. but i have also only weekends the time todo that..

if it goes good at this weekend that site would be ready... what i miss is more from dev side.. wich colums they need.. or so

better to implement that from the beginning..

    so long... sticky

I don't find any kinds of this type of lists really useful... unless there is someone that actually not only moderates it, but also makes some checking (personally or by trusted people). Many users have some problems understanding basics of proper media burning, thus are getting very low quality burns... and this is the source of most problems. Some are experiencing real problems with app usage in general. Others are simply not aware of their laser units being worn out. Having, say, 20 entries with the same game, all but on claiming it doesn't work... Which one to trust? The one that says that actually got it working? Or maybe the majority? How to validate the entries? Console model doesn't matter for ESR, unless it's 10K (maybe 18K? didn't try it), which simply isn't supported (heck, I don't know how oliveira got it to work , the 9a/9b should work, but is freezing for katananja). Unless the game itself has some console version issues (I don't know of any game that would have any issues with V3+... but some had with older models).

Well, but to not sound too harsh... I really appreciate your work put into this. I believe many users will actually find it useful... even though not 100% accurate.

I personally have no use for a list at all.

I only made one to put in the ESR compatibility thread and because so many users seemed to want one.

If its not needed then why do it.

The same goes for half the PS2 hdd compatibility sites, and same as USB compatibility.
One user says its bad and it may not hold true or vice versa. I found that out long time ago with USB hdd and Jaydium.servehttp.com which no longer exists.
Many would say game would not work, and I had found I could get it too work.

I don't think the site should actually sticky it or anything.

If you want to know if a game works, then burn the damn thing and test it.

Thats how I have done all my backups.

hehe, i also burn them to test it.. since i saw people who did this comp. lists i thought devs would use them too <.< since now i know that they doesn't, i kinda get disappointed :P

well but i will finish this, maybe few users will post and maybe few of them will look at it.. to be sure that the game is "compatible"..

ffgriever how about a new splash for esr? xD

Don't take me wrong. I'm not against such lists. But it's useful only when made/filled totally by trusted people (I mean, only the ones, that we trust they know what they're doing ). Of course everyone makes mistakes, but this way we could be almost sure, the list is 100% accurate.

This way, if the user gets info, that some game IS working... She/He can get it some way to work or die trying.

At some point I even thought about posting all titles tested by me personally (~300 titles), but I really didn't feel like writing everything down .

User submitted list could be done, but it should contain gradation for common users, trusted sources, etc. This way, if a game was reported as not working by common users and as working by at leas one trusted source... it should be displayed as "Compatible", with the list of all others available after, e.g. expanding it (plus sign expanding hidden part of data, whatever). Some time ago I even wrote a sketch of such application/webpage (php + mysql... I'm quite proficient with these), but I never had time to make it into useful state (haha, I even had nice, simple layout ready).
