But what failed? Toxic patcher or DVDV patching? If that's toxic patcher, then I cannot say for sure. If that's the ESR/memento patcher... try using 0.24 version, maybe it will throw something more, like lack of udf descriptor ;) .
All I can say, is that someone got this game working, though I'm not sure now if it wasn't DVD5 rip, I will have to search for it.
Am having a few problems with DVD9, me and my brother have identical PS2's, both SCPH-70003. On his I installed FREE_MCBOOT and his will play DVD9 games no problem, mine won't, will only play original DVD9's for some reason, whenever I insert the disc all the PS2 does is the laser makes a constant clicking sound and although it spins the disk it only does it about 1cm. Anybody have any advice for this?
It's probably the laser, since DVD9 is a LOT harder for the laser to read. Original games have superior reflectivity so that's why the laser will read them, but backups are not as reflective. You can solve this by cleaning the laser or if this doesnt work, a pot tweak(dangerous and may shorten the life of the laser). But it's just not worth it since DVD9 games are less than 15. Play them on your brother's ps2 or try the DVD5 rips.Quote:
