In the main release thread of ESR you should find all you need, including the "ESR Disc Patcher" I mentioned. There is even an ESR patcher for Java, to make it platform independent, though I never used that one myself.

The one I use is available as: "ESR disc patcher GUI v0.24a.rar"

And you use it by simply launching the program so that it opens a very small application window. Then you take the already ripped ISO file and drag-drop this with the mouse onto that application window of the patcher, which then gives you a message about patching success (assuming you had a valid ISO). That ISO file is then ready for burning.

As for the ripping of the disc to an ISO you can patch, "DVD decrypter" or ImgBurn are the preferred tools.

I'm not sure how well all this stuff works on Win7 though, since I never used that OS myself. But hopefully it works the same way as on WinXP, which is what I use.

ok, now im confused, ive patch my ffx-in flashes blue then purple and goes to the ule screen, i click ps2disc but then its just blank, disk is spinning but nothing :/ what now?

The colour flashes are typical for all ESR usage, but the return to uLE is not. This indicates that you have the wrong ESR elf installed. And when you thereafter launch the "PS2Disc" command, this is unable to do the right thing.

The original release package of ESR contains three different ESR elfs, for different purposes. Two of those are intended for running game backups, and the third is intended only for homebrew use, which is why it launches uLE after initializing the ESR driver (as seen by the flashes). That is the one you seem to have installed, since that is the only one capable of relaunching uLE.

If on return to uLE by such launch you then use the uLE FileBrowser, you should be able to see the contents of the game disc in the "cdfs:" drive, and if you then try to launch the SLPS... file, then the game should start. So try that at least once.

But even if that works it only proves that you use the wrong ESR elf, and need to replace it with the main one. You need the one without either of the words "mcard" or "off" in its filename. That may sound cryptic now, but when you've downloaded and unpacked the release package you will see which file I mean.

That file should be renamed to "ESR.ELF" and copied into your "mc0:/BOOT/" folder to replace the current one. And with this done you should be able to start ESR games directly from the FMCB menu or using the PS2Disc command of uLE.

Hi ! Getting there a bit late, but for further patching you may use a native OS X port of ESR Disc Patcher made by Guruniverse here. Also, I've got DVD Decrypter if it is necessary, but never used it since toast titanium always achived to burn working backups.

how can i get my esr disk patcher 0.24 for mac to convert my iso's? there in cd format though, and so how do i make it dvd?

tutorial on how to convert cd games to dvd for ESR use. Use the search button next time, you might find the answer quicker. It doesnt hurt to browse the forum first too(got lots of info here, might as well check it out)

Install Wine. That should get all the programs needed running. Then you just have to follow the tutorial ;)
